R.E.P.O. How to Extract

Extraction in R.E.P.O. is required to survive. If you fail, the Taxman doesn’t send you home with a slap on the wrist. He sends you straight to Disposal, and your save file? Gone. So, unless you enjoy starting over from scratch, pay attention, as luckily for you we wrote a simple guide on how extract in R.E.P.O. down below.

Step 1: Meet the Taxman’s Demands

  • Every level gives you a quota—a set amount of valuable junk you need to collect before you’re allowed to leave.

  • The quota and extraction point are randomized every time, because fairness is for other games.

Step 2: Fill the Cart (Like Your Life Depends on It, Because It Does)

  • Near the entrance/exit, you’ll find a cart. This is where you dump all your hard-earned loot.

  • Check the back of the cart (look for the red hand icon) to see your total value. The Taxman has standards, after all.

  • Can’t carry something? Drop heavy objects straight onto the extraction platform instead. Just don’t drop yourself.

Step 3: Get to Extraction Without Dying

  • Once you hit or exceed the quota, shove the cart onto the extraction platform.

  • The platform has a crying face icon above it—this changes to a green checkmark when you’re good to go.

  • The second you see that checkmark, step back. If you’re still standing there, the platform will crush you into a fine paste. You get a three-second countdown before the Taxman decides you look better as floor décor.

Step 4: Run to the Truck Like Your Save File Depends on It (Because It Does)

  • Extraction turns the lights off, but don’t get comfortable. The monsters are still very much on the clock and would love to discuss your choices.

  • Sprint back to the truck immediately. No sightseeing.

  • Once inside, interact with the white envelope icon to confirm extraction.

Step 5: Spend Your Blood Money

  • After surviving (barely), you arrive at the Service Station where you can buy upgrades and supplies.

  • Health does not magically return, so if you’re limping around, buy some health packs.

  • Once you enter the next level, the game auto-saves. If you and your team die, that’s it. You get to experience the thrill of starting over.

Pro Tips for Not Getting Deleted

  • Stay quiet. The monsters aren’t blind, and they don’t care about your personal space.

  • Don’t rush extraction. Make sure teammates aren’t busy getting eaten before you trigger it.

  • Watch your step. If you get crushed on the extraction platform, at least your teammates will have a great story to tell.

Now you know how to extract. Just remember—the Taxman always collects. Whether it’s your loot or your life is entirely up to you.
