Blue Prince: Upgrade Disk Guide

Some rooms in Blue Prince start off a little... underwhelming. But if you get your hands on an Upgrade Disk, you can give them a serious glow-up that sticks around forever.
What You Need
Upgrade Disk: Rare item found in secret or high-reward rooms
Terminal: Located in the Office, Shelter, Security Room, and Laboratory
Once you find a disk, just take it to any terminal. Plug it in and the system will randomly pick one of your floorplans to upgrade. You don’t get to choose which room gets picked—but you do get to choose one of three upgrade options for it.
What Floorplan Upgrades Do
Permanently enhance a room’s function or rewards
Replaces the basic version of the room in all future drafts
Can add items, boost resources, or change room behavior
Example:
Upgrading the Courtyard might give you options like:
Always unlocked
+2 Gems
+5 Dig Spots
Once you pick one, that version of the Courtyard becomes your new default.
Where to Find Upgrade Disks
They’re hidden in all sorts of places, usually high-value or hard-to-reach:
Office: On the main desk (bonus—it’s right next to a terminal)
Garage: Inside the trunk (you’ll need the Car Keys)
Great Hall: Behind one of the locked doors (bring a Lock Pick)
Foundation: Underground, near the elevator’s landing area
Her Ladyship’s Chamber: Sitting on the beauty desk

If you stumble on one, don’t waste it—head straight to a terminal and give your draft deck a permanent buff.
