Blue Protocol Star Resonance Fishing Guide | How to Fish

Blue Protocol Star Resonance Fishing Guide

Fishing in Blue Protocol Star Resonance is one of the most peaceful ways to earn materials and Luno without burning Focus. It’s not just a cozy minigame that also connects to multiple crafting and guild systems that actually help you progress faster.

How to Unlock and Begin Fishing

You unlock fishing after finishing the main story quest “Fireworks Fantasy Night.” Talk to the Fishing Guild Member north of Celestine Plaza in Asterleeds to start “Invitation from the Fishing Guild.” She gives you a Regular Fishing Pole and some Beginner’s Bait to start off.

Catch one Asterscad at Yacht Harbor to complete the tutorial, then report back. You’ll receive bait, currency, and experience to kick off your fishing career.

  • 5 Regular Bait

  • 5 Precise Bait

  • 300 Luno (Bound)

  • 30,000 Adventurer EXP

After that, fishing becomes permanently available across Asterleeds and the Asteria Plains.

How to Fish

Fishing spots are marked near water across both regions. Cast your line, wait for the bobber to dip, then reel in when you see the exclamation point pop up.

Keep your tension balanced while matching your pole direction with the fish’s movement. If the bar maxes out, your line breaks. Fill the progress bar completely to land your catch. Some pulls are easy, but others will test your timing.

Fishing Pole Types

Your pole determines your control, durability, and reeling speed. You can buy new poles at any fishing shop by pressing V at a fishing spot.

  • Regular Pole, starter pole with random break chance

  • Sturdy Pole, unlocked at Fishing Lv. 8, higher speed, won’t break randomly

  • Flexible Pole, unlocked at Lv. 15, slower tension buildup but stronger control

Pole durability drops faster when catching rare fish. Always repair or replace your pole before it breaks completely.

Bait Types

Better bait means better fish. You can buy it from any fishing vendor or craft it through the Culinary skill.

  • Regular Bait, catches both trash and fish, unlocked from the start

  • Precise Bait, avoids trash, unlocked at Fishing or Culinary Lv. 5

  • Special Bait, used for rare and mythical fish, unlocked at Fishing Lv. 14

Bait doesn’t disappear if your line snaps, so failed catches still let you retry.

Fishing Menu and Archive

Your Fishing Menu tracks everything you’ve caught and ranks them by size and rarity. Each new species fills your Fishing Archive, showing where it was caught and your personal best record.

Fish are split by water type:

  • City Harbor Fish, found in Asterleeds

  • Freshwater Fish, found inland in Asteria Plains

  • Seawater Fish, found along the outer coasts

You can also donate fish to Research for small stat boosts and unlockable effects, up to Level 5.

Fish Rankings Explained

Fishing has global and guild leaderboards that rank players based on fish size. Bigger fish raise your rank, and each species has a minimum and maximum range. It’s purely bragging rights for now, but a solid way to show off rare catches.

Hidden Fishing Quest

There’s a small side quest tied to fishing in Asterleeds. Talk to Amos at the Beach Pier to start it. He’ll ask for a Night Lamp that you can only fish up using Regular Bait.

Bring it back to finish the quest and collect your rewards.

  • 120,000 Adventurer EXP

  • 600 Luno (Bound)

  • 50 Asteria Reputation

It’s an easy one-time quest and a nice chunk of EXP early on.

Fishing Tips

  • Focus on Asterleeds early for easy access and faster leveling

  • Use Regular Bait until Lv. 5 to save currency

  • Upgrade to the Sturdy Pole as soon as possible

  • Recycle trash instead of dropping it

  • Combine fishing with Guild Cargo turn-ins for steady Luno

Why Fishing Is Worth Doing

Fishing might look optional, but it ties directly into several Life Skills and daily systems.

  • Culinary uses fish and scallops for cooking combat foods

  • Alchemy uses scallops for crafting fibers and homestead items

  • Guild Cargo accepts fish for daily Unbound Luno

  • The Season Hub counts fishing toward daily merit progress

  • Recycling converts ocean trash into small amounts of Bound Luno

It’s an easy source of side income and materials, especially since it doesn’t consume Focus like other gathering skills.

Final Blurb

Fishing in Blue Protocol Star Resonance isn’t fast, but it’s a great break from combat and grinding. You can make money, gather rare ingredients, and boost guild progress while relaxing. Once you’ve upgraded your pole and bait, the fishing loop becomes one of the easiest ways to earn steady rewards without spending Focus.
