Burning Trail is a quest in the Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition. It involves finding hidden notes across Cyrodiil that lead you to a secret contact.

How to Start Burning Trail Quest in Oblivion Remastered

Talk to any guard in the Imperial City. They will mention rumors about Mythic Dawn notes appearing around the city. This will begin the quest.

Find the First Note in Talos Plaza

Go to the Talos Plaza District. Near the dragon statue in the center, look for a note pinned to a barrel or crate. Read the note to get your next location.

Find the Note at Hircine's Shrine

Travel to Hircine's Shrine. Stand in front of the wolf statue and follow the direction it’s facing. Look for a tree nearby with a note pinned to it.

Find the Note at Molag Bal's Shrine

Head to Molag Bal's Shrine. While facing the shrine, walk east. You’ll see a large tree with the next note attached.

Find the Note in Bravil

Go to the Lucky Old Lady statue in Bravil. Stand in front of the statue, face the same direction as the Lady, and look down. The note is pinned inside the stone barrier around the statue.

Speak to the Innkeeper at The Lonely Suitor Lodge

After reading the last note, visit The Lonely Suitor Lodge in Bravil. Talk to the innkeeper and ask about a shy Dunmer woman.

Talk to Ranaline

Find Ranaline inside the lodge. If she won’t talk, increase her disposition above 70 by using persuasion, a Charm spell, or bribing her. Once she agrees to speak, the quest will end and you will start The Crimson Cave.
