Can You Rename Strain Mixes and Product in Schedule 1?

Note: This guide covers content from Schedule 1, a satirical video game set in a fictional world. All items, recipes, and references are entirely made up and exist only in the game. Please don’t try any of this in real life.
You can name your product once—and only once—when you first mix it. After that? You’re stuck with it. At least, officially.
Here’s How It Works
When you first create a mix, the game lets you name your new strain.
Once that’s done, the name is locked in. There’s no in-game way to rename it later.
If you make a typo or change your mind? Too bad. You’re now selling "StinkyGoose#2" forever.
Can You Rename It in the Game Files?
Yes—but it’s risky, annoying, and not worth it unless you really hate the name.
The product names are stored in JSON files deep in your save folders.
You can open and edit them with something like Notepad++ or VSCode.
You must only change the “Name” field, not the product’s ID or filename.
If you mess this up, you might break your save.
The path looks something like this:
C:/Users/[YourName]/AppData/LocalLow/TVGS/Schedule I/Saves/[YourSteamID]/SaveGame_x/Products/CreatedProducts
Always back up your save before you start poking around. This is something we would not really recommend, however.
Final Blurb
Right now, you can only name a mixed product once—when it’s first created. There’s no in-game way to rename it later, and the only workaround involves manually editing your save files. Hopefully the devs add a rename feature soon. Until then, double-check your spelling… or enjoy marketing “FluffyLungZapper” for the rest of your empire.
