Big news, demon slayers: DOOM: The Dark Ages is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 on May 15, 2025. Bethesda and id Software announced the medieval-themed prequel during the Xbox Developer_Direct 2025 event, and let’s just say, it looks like chaos with a side of chainmail.
Oh, and if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can dive into the standard edition on day one at no extra cost. But if you’re the impatient type (or really into cosmetics), the Deluxe edition lets you start slaying two days early, on May 13, while also throwing in some future DLC and fancy skins.

This isn’t your typical demon-busting adventure. It’s a prequel to the 2016 DOOM, but with a medieval twist. Think dark fantasy meets sci-fi:
