Hardest Achievements Explained

Some of these will not happen naturally and need planning.

Cataclysmic Difficulty Wins

  • Look at You, All Grown Up and All-Star are your biggest skill checks

  • You need strong early spread and fast scaling abilities

  • These are usually late progression achievements

Ability Upgrade Achievements

  • Going Viral, Weather Men, Lord of War

  • Focus your run on one ability path and fully upgrade it

  • Do not split points across multiple systems

Bloodbath

  • Requires heavy Warfare investment

  • Stack damage focused upgrades and stay aggressive

  • This happens faster in longer scenarios

No Social Influence

  • You cannot spend Influence at all

  • This forces a clean, efficient build with no mistakes

Strategy Achievements You Can Miss Easily

These are tied to how you play, not just winning.

  • Actively Aggressive
Do not use passives at all in a region

  • Fast Collapse
Time your region eliminations close together

  • Demolitions Expert
Save strong pushback abilities for one big drop

  • Against All Odds
Delay your win until Exodus is very high

If you are not tracking these during a run, you will miss them.

Setup Based Achievements

These are some of the easiest once you know them.

  • Evil Residents

  • Feels Like Bio Inc

  • Revolutionary

Just start a scenario with the correct combinations. These are quick unlocks once you target them.

Intentional Failure Achievements

These sound strange, but you need to play for them.

  • We Will Get Them Next Time
    Just lose a run

  • Oopsy
Kill all humans but fail the objective

  • Saved by the Bell
Lose while population health is extremely low

These are best done in separate runs so you do not ruin progress toward other achievements.

Final Blurb

Extinction Day achievements reward both strong gameplay and intentional setups. Some unlock naturally, but a lot require you to play differently or even lose on purpose.

Once you group them into runs instead of chasing everything at once, finishing the full list becomes much more manageable.
