Hill giants are one of the earliest combat targets players look for in OSRS Leagues 6, especially for big bones and early combat training. With region restrictions in place, the Varlamore location becomes one of the easiest and most accessible options early on.
Where To Find Hill Giants In Varlamore (Map included)
Hill giants in OSRS are located in the Avium Savannah in Varlamore, just south of Civitas illa Fortis, with around 6 spawns available in the area. See the map we made below.
This is a surface level location, not a dungeon, which makes it much easier to access compared to traditional spots like Edgeville Dungeon.
Once you reach Civitas illa Fortis, you simply head south into the savannah and you will start seeing hill giants spread across the open area.
How To Get To Avium Savannah
Avium Savannah sits directly south of Civitas illa Fortis, making it one of the most natural early routes in Varlamore
Your main access options are:
Run south from Civitas illa Fortis
Use fairy ring AJP located in the savannah
Use Quetzal transport landing sites if unlocked
Teleport to Civitas illa Fortis and move south
Early on, most players will simply run there as part of normal progression through the region.
What Makes This Location Good
The Varlamore hill giant spot stands out because of how simple it is.
You are not dealing with:
Dungeon navigation
Keys or unlock requirements
Crowded free to play areas
Instead, you get an open space where you can move freely between spawns.
Hill giants themselves are low defence and low damage enemies, which makes them ideal for early combat levels around 30 to 50. They are aggressive to lower level players, so you will not need to constantly re engage them
