Hollow Knight Silksong Needolin Doors Guide & Locations (Needling)
Finding strange doors with the Weaver’s mark is one of the most confusing moments in Hollow Knight: Silksong. These sealed gates look unbreakable at first, but they all require the same late-game art. That art is Needolin, a song skill that uses Hornet’s own silk as an instrument. Once you unlock it, the many Needolin doors scattered across Pharloom finally open.
How to Get Needolin
You unlock Needolin in Bellhart after defeating Widow. Once the fight is over, Hornet learns how to string silk along her needle and play it like a harp. Using Needolin drains Silk, so you need to refill by striking enemies.
Needolin has two uses. First, it can bind enemies in place for a short time. Second, and most importantly, it opens Weaver Doors marked with the mask symbol. These doors block some of the biggest optional areas in the game.
All Needolin Door Locations (“Needling Doors”)
Moss Grotto
The first Needolin door sits below Bone Bottom. Playing Needolin here leads into Weavenest Atla, a nest area with story lore and tool upgrades.
Far Fields
On the far right side past Skull Cave is another marked door. This one opens into Weavenest Cindril, which holds puzzles tied to the Silkspeed Anklets.
Wormways
Head west through the twisting tunnels until you see another Weaver mask door. Behind it is Weavenest Karn, an optional side-dungeon.
Bilewater
At the bottom right of the region is the last known Needolin door. This one unlocks Weavenest Murglin, home to enemies that drop rare upgrade parts.
The Abyss
Near the lower right section, another sealed path waits. This door leads deeper into late-game content tied to Silk Soul endings.
Using Needolin Wisely
Every use costs Silk. If you try to spam it, you’ll quickly lose your healing reserve. The Weavelight tool pairs well here, since it regenerates Silk between doors and fights. If you hit enemies with Needolin directly, they become trapped for a moment, giving you breathing room in dangerous rooms.
Final Blurb
Needolin is one of the most important arts in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Without it, the Weaver Doors across Pharloom stay shut, blocking areas like Weavenest Atla and Cindril. Unlock Widow, earn Needolin, and bring music to the silk-bound locks of the world.
