Start in Pilgrim’s Rest and leave through the left exit. Drop down into the vertical shaft until you reach the midpoint, then head into the room with the bench and the Bell Beast on the right. This room is the key to unlocking the door.
From here, look under the small platform near the Bell Beast. Hug the right wall and you’ll find a hidden path. Enter it to begin the real challenge.
The Obstacle Course
The hidden passage leads into a long trial of spikes, orbs, and currents. You’ll need to pogo on red orbs, ride the Drifter’s Cloak across wind streams, and cling to walls with perfect timing. The route is telegraphed clearly, but execution demands focus. Missing a single jump often means falling into spikes and starting over.
At the end of this gauntlet, the path splits. To the left lies a Rhinogrund and a switch. Defeat or dodge the Rhinogrund, then strike the switch with your Needle to open the Pilgrim’s Rest door permanently.
Extra Rewards and Secrets
The Rhinogrund drops a Beast Shard, which breaks into 140 Shell Shards, so it’s worth taking down at least once. If you kill it after hitting the switch, it won’t respawn, so log it in the Hunter’s Journal first if you’re chasing completion.
To the right of the final chamber, you’ll also find a Lost Flea tucked into a small alcove. Use Cling Grip on the silk spools along the wall to reach it. This flea counts toward the Lost Fleas wish, and finding it here saves a return trip later.
