How to Call Your Horse in Oblivion Remastered

In Oblivion Remastered, horses seem to believe in personal space — a lot of it. By default, there’s no way to whistle or magically summon your horse. Once you hop off, it stays put like an obedient—but slightly inconvenient—statue.

But if you're playing on PC, there’s a fix for that… If you’re comfortable with using mods.

Use the Horse Whistle Mod

Thanks to the Horse Whistle - Summon and Follow mod by PushTheWinButton, you can finally call your horse like it’s 2025 and not 2006.

Here’s how to get it working:

  1. Download the Mod
Head over to Nexus Mods and search for Horse Whistle - Summon and Follow. Download and install it using your preferred mod manager or manually drop it into your Oblivion Remastered directory.

  2. Equip the Spell
Once installed, you’ll get a new spell added to your magic list. This isn’t your typical fireball — it’s a whistle spell.

  3. Summon or Make Your Horse Follow
Cast the spell, and your horse will either:

    • Appear near you if it’s far away.

    • Start following you if it's nearby, saving you the hassle of constantly mounting and dismounting.

Now you can roam Cyrodiil without worrying about where you left your poor horse.

Note: Only use mods if you do your own research and are comfortable in downloading/installing them.

Final Blurb

Without mods, calling your horse in Oblivion Remastered is just a dream. But with a little PC magic, you’ll have your steed at your side whenever you want—no more long walks of shame back to the stables. Console players... well, maybe someday.
