How to Defeat Dark Walkers | Cubic Odyssey Guide

To kill a Dark Walker in Cubic Odyssey, you’ll need to use a Light Shard to expose it, then hit it with your strongest weapons before the damage window closes.
That’s the short version. The longer version involves a few retries, a lil bit of panic, and a strong dislike for tiny spiders.
Here’s how to take one down without wasting too many energy cells or your patience.

Find the Dark Walker
Look for the massive corruption towers
Dark Walkers usually spawn near large corrupted zones. They’re big, loud, and very tanky.
You won’t miss them. They look like living towers, and they’re usually guarded by mobs and random corruption enemies.
Get close, and the game will politely let you know it’s time to suffer.
Trigger the Fight
Use a Light Shard to start the damage phase
You can’t just shoot a Dark Walker out of nowhere. First, you’ll need to use a Light Shard on it.
This stuns the creature and gives you a short damage window. It also triggers a mini-boss bar so you know you’re doing things right.
Once the shard is used, back up and get ready to unload damage fast.
Deal Damage Quickly
Use your best weapon, then run
Once the shard hits, you’ll only have a few seconds to deal damage before the Dark Walker starts healing again.
Use a high-damage weapon like a sniper or upgraded energy rifle
Ship weapons work too, but only if your ship is in good shape and well-positioned
Be careful of shield cooldowns and energy usage
Once your burst is done, back off, recharge, and get ready for round two.
Repeat the Cycle
Nuke, shoot, and reset
This fight is all about repeating the loop.
You’ll need multiple Light Shards to finish the job. The player in the footage used three, and still had to dodge enemies and fix cooldown issues mid-fight.
Keep in mind:
Your guns have internal cooldowns
Light Shards don’t stack damage, so timing matters
You’re probably going to burn through energy cells fast
Clean Up the Trash
The tiny spiders are the real problem
Every time you damage a Dark Walker, it can spawn smaller enemies.
These are mostly tiny corrupted spider creatures that are extremely annoying to hit and love to sneak in when you’re low on shields.
Clear them out between damage phases. If you ignore them, they’ll mess up your movement and make you waste cooldowns.
Final Blurb
Fighting a Dark Walker in Cubic Odyssey is not fun if you’re undergeared, but it is doable. Bring Light Shards, good weapons, and maybe lower your grass settings if the spiders are ruining your life.
Just remember, nuking it and running away is not cowardice. It’s tactics.
