If you like to play sneaky and strike from the shadows with perfect aim, the Wild Archer’s Armor Set is pretty much made for you. It boosts speed, reduces stamina costs, and makes your headshots hurt way more. But like all the best armor in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you’re going to have to work for it.

Here’s how to track it down, unlock it, and build the full set.

What the Wild Archer’s Armor Set Does

Once you craft the full set, you get:

  • +40% Stealth Movement Speed

  • -33% Stamina Cost for Ranged Attacks

  • +25% Weak Point Damage

So yeah — if you’re running a bow build, this is one of the best options in the game.

How to Get the Wild Archer’s Armor Set

Step 1: Enter the Vault in Bloodblight Swamp

Head deep into Bloodblight Swamp — and bring Antipoison Potions or you’re going to melt. The swamp is toxic just walking around. Somewhere in there, hidden behind poison fog and swamp monsters, is the entrance to the Vault that holds the armor.

Set a fast travel point before you go in. You’ll thank yourself later.

Step 2: Find All Three Dragonkin Statues

Inside the vault, you’ll need to find three Dragonkin Effigies. Each one gives you the recipe for one piece of the armor set:

  • Wild Archer’s Cowl

  • Wild Archer’s Body

  • Wild Archer’s Helmet

The vault’s not a quick walk. Expect poison traps, enemies, and at least one jumping puzzle that’ll make you question your life choices.

Step 3: Beat the Vault Boss

The final effigy is found in the boss room. The boss is Plague Ki, and if you’re not geared, it might ruin your day. But once you beat it, you get the final recipe.

You don’t have to kill the boss just to leave the vault, but you do have to if you want the full armor set.

Step 4: Craft the Armor Back at Base

With all three recipes unlocked, go back to your base and gather:

  • Hard Leather

  • Padded Cloth

  • Vault Shards

  • Various Ingots

To make Padded Cloth, you’ll need to:

  • Turn Wool Thread into Wool Cloth using the loom

  • Turn Coarse Thread into Rough Cloth

  • Combine both to make Padded Cloth

Once you’ve got the materials, use your Crafting Table to build the armor. Portable crafting tables also work if you're too impatient to go home.

Final Blurb

The Wild Archer’s Armor Set isn’t just gear — it’s a statement. It says you move fast, hit hard, and don’t have time for clunky armor that slows you down. If you’ve got the patience to brave the swamp, dodge the traps, and take down a poison-soaked boss, then congratulations — you’ve earned one of the best ranged sets in the game.
