So you’ve landed in RuneScape: Dragonwilds and realized that going solo isn’t quite your style. Good news—you can drag your friends into the game too.

Here’s how to squad up and play multiplayer/co-op in RuneScape Dragon Wilds.

Step 1: Link Your Accounts

Before anything else, make sure your Epic Games account is linked to Steam. Dragonwilds runs on Epic Online Services, so if those aren’t connected, you’re basically shouting into the void.

  • Log into your Epic Games account.

  • Head to Connections > Apps.

  • Link your Steam account. That’s it.

Step 2: Create or Join a World

Now it’s time to either host a world or crash someone else’s.

How to Host a World:

  • Choose Create World.

  • Name your world (no spaces or fancy characters, max 16 letters).

  • Set it to Friends or Public.

  • Optional: Add a password if you don’t want strangers crashing your party.

  • Optional: Turn on Friendly Fire if you're feeling spicy.

How to Join a Friend:

  • Go to the Play tab.

  • Hit Public.

  • Type in the name of their world and join.

  • If they set a password, get the goods from them first.

Step 3: Group Up and Get Going

Once you’re in the same world, look for the blue arrows on your map—that’s your crew. Meet up, throw some emotes, and then start looting, building, or fighting off whatever horrors the world throws at you.

Keep in mind:

  • You can only have up to four players per world right now.

  • Solo worlds can be changed later to allow friends to join.

  • More multiplayer options (like dedicated servers) are on the way.

Final Blurb

Playing Dragonwilds with friends makes everything more fun—and slightly more dangerous if someone turns on friendly fire. Just link your accounts, make or join a world, and you’re good to go. And if your team gets wiped by a horde of fire goats... well, you’ll all go down together.
