How to Stagger in Revenge of the Savage Planet

Staggering just means hitting a creature’s weak spot at the right time so it flinches or pauses. Some missions need you to do this before you can capture something. It’s not about doing lots of damage, but rather hitting the right place when it opens up.
What Staggering Looks Like
When you stagger an enemy, they stop moving for a second. You’ll see them stumble or freeze. That’s when you can use your whip to lasso them or move in for another attack.
How to Stagger
Wait for the opening. Most enemies show their weak spots during a roar, a charge, or just before they attack.
Aim carefully. The weak spot is usually something like a mouth, a glowing sack, or a soft-looking part.
Shoot when the spot is open. Don’t waste ammo blasting them randomly—it only counts if you hit the weak point while it’s exposed.
Example: Staggering the Hognork
In the mission to capture the Hognork, you need to stagger it before you can lasso it. Its weak spot is inside its mouth, but you can only hit it when:
It roars, or
It charges at you
The easiest way to deal with it is to climb up on a rock ledge where it can’t reach you. Stay up there, wait for it to roar, then shoot straight into its open mouth. After a few hits, it will stagger, and that’s your moment to lasso it.
Final Blurb
Staggering is all about patience. Wait for the enemy to open up, hit the weak spot, and get ready to move. Keep it clean and don’t panic—you’ll get the hang of it fast.
