How To Use The Capture Crate In Hytale
The Capture Crate in Hytale is used to pick up specific small animals by left clicking them, not by pressing F. If the crate works, the animal is stored inside and can be carried or placed later. If nothing happens, that animal cannot be captured or the input is wrong.
How The Capture Crate Actually Works
The Capture Crate only responds to left click. Pressing F does nothing and will never capture an animal.
To use it correctly, hold the Capture Crate in your hand and left click the animal. Left clicking again releases the animal from the crate.
Animals You Can Capture With A Capture Crate
Only certain small or young animals work with the Capture Crate. Adult animals and many wildlife mobs cannot be captured.
Confirmed capturable animals include:
Rabbits
Bunnies
Chicks
Lambs
Boar Piglets
Mice
Calves
Foals
If the animal is not on this list, the crate will not work on it.
Animals You Cannot Capture
Some animals look like they should work but do not.
Foxes, adult chickens, frogs, and most adult animals cannot be captured. This is intended behavior, not a bug.
