The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has finally landed—but if you're hoping to roam Cyrodiil on a Switch, here’s the short answer: No. It definitely won’t be on the original Nintendo Switch.
What About the Nintendo Switch 2?
Bethesda dropped Oblivion Remastered onto Xbox, PS5, and PC like a surprise sweetroll, but there’s been zero official word about Nintendo's next console.
With that said, it’s not impossible. The Switch 2 is still under wraps, but once it arrives, Bethesda could easily announce a port which would hype it up all over again. With Unreal Engine 5 powering the remaster, it’ll depend on how beefy Nintendo’s new hardware really is.
For now, here’s where things stand:
Oblivion Remastered is not confirmed for Switch 2.
No announcements or release windows—just silence.
But hey, Bethesda loves re-releasing Elder Scrolls games, so don’t lose hope… We’d bet money it will come at SOME point.
Final Blurb
If you’re dreaming of playing Oblivion Remastered on the go with a shiny new Switch 2, you’ll have to stay patient. There’s no news yet, but knowing Bethesda’s track record, Cyrodiil might just sneak onto Nintendo’s next console when you least expect it. After all, what's an Elder Scrolls release without a few extra ports down the line?
