Oblivion Remastered Werewolves Explained — Are They in the Game?

If you're hoping to unleash your inner beast in Oblivion Remastered here’s the simple answer.

Can You Play as a Werewolf in Oblivion Remastered?

Unfortunately no, you can’t become a werewolf (at least right now). Sorry, dog lovers… But why not, you ask?

  • Not in the Original: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion never had werewolves to begin with. Bethesda stuck close to the original content for this remaster, so don’t expect surprise werewolf quests popping up in Cyrodiil.

  • Where Werewolves Actually Exist in The Elder Scrolls games:

    • Daggerfall and Morrowind (Bloodmoon DLC) let you live that furry fantasy.

    • Skyrim made it mainstream with full-blown werewolf gameplay.

    • The Elder Scrolls Online has Werewolves as well.

    • Oblivion? It skipped the party entirely, unless you count mods…

Will Mods Save the Day?

If you're on PC, there may yet be some hope. Modders have a long history of adding what Bethesda forgets — or ignores. While there’s no official werewolf content in Oblivion Remastered, you can bet someone on Nexus is already dreaming up a way to let you howl at the moons again.

Final Blurb

So no, Oblivion Remastered doesn’t include werewolves. But hey, you still get vampires, demons, and more Daedric chaos than you can shake a silver sword at. If you’re desperate to go full wolf mode, either wait for mods or take a nostalgic trip back to Skyrim or Morrowind.
