When you’re sailing in OSRS, crewmates are key to running your ship efficiently. But after dismissing one for a trial or activity like the Barracuda event, figuring out how to get them back can be confusing.
How to Get Crewmates Back
Once you’ve dismissed a crewmate, they’re not gone forever. You can reassign them through the main crew management system in The Pandemonium.
Travel to The Pandemonium, the central Sailing hub.
Find the Crew Registrar NPC near the docks or main building.
Right-click and select Manage Crew.
Any previously hired crewmates will appear in this menu, ready to reassign to your ship.
If you dismissed a crewmate during a Barracuda Trial or similar activity, just finish the event, return to port, and reopen the crew interface through the same NPC. You’ll see them listed and can add them back instantly.
How to Dismiss Crewmates
You can dismiss crewmates from the same Manage Crew interface.
Alternatively, during specific training activities or trials, instructors may prompt you to release one directly — pressing the spacebar through dialogue sometimes triggers the dismissal automatically.
