OSRS Leagues 6 Ectophial: How To Get It and Current Bug

OSRS Leagues 6 Ectophial: How To Get It and Current Bug

The ectophial should be your fast way into Port Phasmatys and a core part of Morytania progression in OSRS Leagues 6. Right now, trying to get or reclaim it feels broken, and that is because it actually is.

Why Ectophial Is Not Working in Leagues 6

You cannot properly get or reclaim the ectophial in OSRS Leagues 6 right now because it is bugged due to missing Ghostspeak interaction, and it is confirmed as a known issue.

In the main game, the ectophial comes from Ghosts Ahoy, which requires you to speak with ghosts using Ghostspeak. Leagues 6 skips a lot of quest steps, but this part did not get handled correctly. You never receive Ghostspeak, and the game still expects you to use it.

So when you try to get the ectophial, nothing happens. Reclaiming it does not work either, even if you check places like Perdu or league hubs. It feels like you missed something, but there is nothing to fix on your end.

What You Actually Notice In Gameplay

This hits harder than it sounds because the ectophial is not just a teleport. It is one of the best ways to move around Morytania quickly.

Without it, you end up running into Port Phasmatys the long way every time instead of resetting instantly, which slows everything down. Your Slayer routing in the region stops flowing smoothly, and you eventually get stuck on Morytania Legs 2 since it requires ectophial use to move forward.

You feel it the most when trying to chain tasks. Normally you teleport in, finish what you need, then reset right away. Without ectophial, everything feels slower and more spread out.

Morytania Legs 2 Is Also Blocked

This is where it starts to block real progress.

The diary requires you to use the ectophial, but since you cannot get it, you cannot complete that step. That means Morytania Legs 2 is not available right now, even if you meet every other requirement.

It creates a loop where the game tells you to use something you cannot unlock, which is why it feels like something is missing.

Best Workarounds Right Now

There is no real replacement, but you can still keep progressing without getting stuck.

  • Drakan’s Medallion becomes your main way into Morytania once unlocked

  • Fairy rings can help cover nearby travel depending on your unlocks

  • Group your Morytania tasks together instead of going back and forth

It is not as smooth, but it keeps you moving instead of wasting time trying to force something that does not work right now.

Jagex Fix Status

Jagex has already marked this as a priority issue and plans to fix it with a coldfix. This includes both the ectophial and the Morytania Legs progression tied to it.

This is not intended design. It is just something that did not carry over correctly into Leagues 6.

Final Blurb

The ectophial in OSRS Leagues 6 is clearly not working the way it should. You feel it right away when moving around Morytania, especially when your routes slow down and diary progress stops. The best move for now is to adjust your path, keep building your account in other areas, and come back once the fix is in so everything flows the way it should.
