OSRS Leagues 6 Slayer Training Guide: Best Tasks & Fast XP

Slayer in OSRS Leagues 6 only feels bad when task selection is bad. Culling Spree changes the whole skill because it lets you pick from 3 tasks, choose the task size, and always see a boss option unless Like a Boss is turned off. That means fast Slayer is less about grinding whatever shows up and more about forcing the tasks that actually pay off.
Best Slayer Training In OSRS Leagues 6
The best Slayer training in OSRS Leagues 6 is using Culling Spree to force superior tasks, taking 5 kill tasks when completion XP is better than the kill XP, and using fast boss tasks once your build can clear them quickly.
Culling Spree is what makes this work. You can choose between 3 tasks, set the amount from 5 to 200, and keep boss tasks in the pool if Like a Boss stays on. Slayer rewards are also much stronger in Leagues 6 because points are multiplied by 5, no streak is needed to earn them, Bigger and Badder is free, and superior spawn rate is massively boosted.
That is why random medium value tasks fall behind so hard. If a task does not give you superiors, fast completions, or a boss you can clear quickly, it usually is not worth holding.
Superior Tasks Are The Best General Route
Superior tasks are the backbone of fast Slayer in Leagues 6. Bigger and Badder is already unlocked, superior monsters spawn far more often than in the main game, and Culling Spree adds a 50 percent chance for another superior to spawn after killing one.
That pushes tasks like jellies, nechryael, abyssal demons, bloodvelds, and dust devils to the top whenever your regions support them. These tasks are doing more than regular kill XP. They are feeding superior spawns, and superior spawns are where Slayer starts accelerating.
If the choice is between a plain task and a superior task, the superior task is usually the right answer.
Why 5 Kill Tasks Are So Good
A lot of players make Slayer slower than it needs to be by picking long task sizes when the completion bonus is the real prize. Culling Spree lets you set tasks as low as 5 kills, including boss tasks.
That changes the math completely. If the task is weak and the completion XP is doing more work than the monsters themselves, the best move is often to take the shortest version possible, finish it, collect points and completion XP, then roll again.
This is especially good on easy monsters when you need points, and it becomes even better on quick boss clears once your gear is ready.
Boss Tasks Become Excellent Once Your Build Is Ready
Boss tasks are always offered with Culling Spree unless Like a Boss is turned off. That gives Slayer a second fast route besides superiors.
If your build can kill the boss quickly, 5 kill boss tasks become one of the best ways to move Slayer. You are finishing the task fast, getting the completion XP fast, and moving straight back into another selection. That is why boss tasks stop being side content and become part of the real training route.
This matters most once your run is already strong enough to clear things like Kraken, Thermonuclear smoke devil, Cerberus, Grotesque Guardians, Barrows, Zulrah, or Vorkath without dragging the task out.
If the boss task is slow, skip it. If it is fast, take the 5 kill version and keep moving.
Best Regions For Slayer Training
Kourend is the best all around Slayer region in OSRS Leagues 6, while Wilderness is better if you also want Krystilia, Wilderness Slayer Cave tasks, and Wilderness side value.
Kourend has the broadest general utility. Catacombs of Kourend carries a huge part of the region by itself, with abyssal demons, black demons, greater demons, fire giants, hellhounds, ankou, dust devils, skeletons, moss giants, hill giants, dagannoth, and more. Karuulm Slayer Dungeon then adds hydras, wyrms, drakes, greater demons, hellhounds, and fire giants. If the goal is getting a lot of strong task options in one region, Kourend is loaded.
Wilderness is still excellent, but for a different reason. Krystilia moves to Ferox Enclave in Leagues 6, and the Wilderness Slayer Cave has abyssal demons, ankou, black demons, black dragons, dust devils, greater demons, green dragons, hellhounds, jellies, and lesser demons. If your build already wants Wilderness content, the Slayer value there is real.
If the question is strictly which region is better for Slayer training, Kourend is the cleaner answer.
Best Tasks To Push 87, 92, And 93 Slayer
The route to Kraken, Araxxor, and Thermy gets much faster if the task pool stays tight.
Before those unlocks, the best picks are:
superior tasks you can clear quickly,
5 kill boss tasks you can clear quickly,
and 5 kill easy tasks when you need fast completion XP or points.
At 87 Slayer, cave kraken opens in Kandarin. At 92, Araxytes and Araxxor open in Morytania. At 93, smoke devils and Thermonuclear smoke devil open in Kandarin.
That is why Kandarin matters so much if the run is built around Thermy. It is not just the end reward. It is the region that holds Kraken on the way there and Thermy at the end.
Best Slayer Masters In Leagues 6
All Slayer Masters use the same task list in Leagues 6, limited by your unlocked regions, and they all give the same base points at 15 per task.
That means the old main game logic around “best master” matters much less. The more important question is which masters your region unlocks give you access to.
Chaeldar is available in the starting region. Duradel comes with Karamja. Nieve comes with Kandarin. Mazchna comes with Morytania. Turael comes with Asgarnia. Konar comes with Kourend. Krystilia comes with Wilderness.
The region matters more than the master.
Quest XP And Boosts That Help Slayer
A few quest rewards cut down early and mid Slayer levels better than people expect. The Heart of Darkness gives 8,000 Slayer XP in Varlamore. Shadows of Custodia gives 10,000. Royal Trouble and Lair of Tarn Razorlor each give 5,000. The Path of Glouphrie gives 20,000 in Kandarin. The Fremennik Exiles gives 50,000 in Fremennik. Sins of the Father also has skill choice XP that can be put into Slayer.
Boosts matter too when a task or boss is just out of reach. Wild pie gives +5 Slayer. Slayer’s respite gives +2. Slayer’s respite(m) gives +4.
These do not replace the training route, but they make it easier to hit key unlocks earlier.
Final Blurb
Slayer in OSRS Leagues 6 gets much faster once task selection stops being lazy. Force superior tasks first. Use 5 kill tasks when completion XP is the better deal. Take fast boss tasks once your build is strong enough to clear them cleanly. Kourend is the best all around Slayer region, and Kandarin matters a lot if the run is built around Kraken and Thermy. If the task is not helping superiors, fast completions, or good boss clears, skip it.
