The new Sailing update added three powerful blowpipes that scale through the mid to late game. Each one has its own crafting tier, materials, and Fletching level requirement. Here’s how every blowpipe works and how to make them… Note: we put a comparison table towards the bottom as well.
Camphor Blowpipe
The Camphor Blowpipe is the entry-level version, ideal for early ranged training or lower-tier sea combat. It’s fast, accurate, and easy to make once you reach mid-game Fletching.
How To Make It
Requires 58 Fletching
Use a Knife on 2 Camphor Logs and 1 Squid Beak
Grants 140 Fletching XP
Combat Details
Requires 45 Ranged to wield
Fires up to Mithril Darts
+12 Ranged bonus, +2 Ranged Strength
Attack speed: 2 ticks (rapid style)
Great for quick low-defense targets
The Camphor Blowpipe isn’t for profit, but it’s a clean starting option for new sailors working toward Ironwood gear.
Ironwood Blowpipe
The Ironwood Blowpipe is a strong mid-tier upgrade. It has better accuracy and slightly higher damage potential, making it a solid step between early and high-tier setups.
How To Make It
Requires 72 Fletching
Use a Knife on 2 Ironwood Logs and 1 Squid Beak
Grants 170 Fletching XP
Combat Details
Requires 55 Ranged to wield
Fires up to Adamant Darts
+16 Ranged bonus, +4 Ranged Strength
Attack speed: 2 ticks (rapid style)
The Ironwood Blowpipe performs close to a budget version of the classic Toxic Blowpipe, though without venom or scaling effects. It’s reliable, light, and great for general ranged training or sea monsters with low defense.
Rosewood Blowpipe
The Rosewood Blowpipe is the top-tier version added with Sailing, combining strong accuracy with a unique special attack that fires two darts instantly.
How To Make It
Requires 84 Fletching
Use 2 Rosewood Logs and 1 Squid Beak
No base XP is confirmed yet, but it’s quick to craft
Combat Details
Requires 65 Ranged to wield
Fires up to Adamant Darts
+22 Ranged bonus, +6 Ranged Strength
Attack speed: 2 ticks (rapid style)
Special attack: Rapid Burst – fires 2 darts at once, 20% reduced accuracy, 10% extra damage, costs 25% special energy
The Rosewood Blowpipe is fast and efficient, excelling against low-defense targets or guaranteed-hit situations. Just avoid any Burbs or the blowpipe won’t work. It’s a strong hybrid between speed and burst damage, perfect for Slayer or sea combat tasks.
| Blowpipe | Fletching Level | Ranged Level | Max Dart | Ranged Bonus | Ranged Strength | Special Attack | Notes |

Final Blurb
The new Sailing blowpipes expand ranged options beyond the traditional meta. They’re fast to craft, lightweight, and hit surprisingly hard for their level. Build whichever matches your current Fletching level, and keep the Rosewood version handy once you hit the late game.
