PEAK Easy Mode Explained (Tenderfoot)

Written by Jason B.

In the game PEAK there are two game modes, and if you're looking for easy mode then Tenderfoot mode is the one to pick. It reduces the game's difficulty in a few big ways that make survival and climbing much more forgiving.

How to Select Tenderfoot Mode

From the starting lobby, go to Gate 7. This is where you choose your game mode.

Interact with the kiosk and click the left arrow to select Tenderfoot mode. The right arrow will switch it back to regular Peak mode.

What Tenderfoot Mode Changes

Tenderfoot mode removes the time limit completely. You can take as long as you want to reach the top.

It also reduces stamina loss while climbing, which means you can make longer climbs without needing to rest as often. On top of that, your hunger meter goes down much slower, so you don’t need to eat as frequently.

Who Should Use Tenderfoot

This mode is ideal for new players, casual solo runs, or anyone who wants to explore without stress.

You still need to avoid hazards like lava, poison, and falls... but you won’t be fighting against time or constant stamina drain.

Final Blurb

Tenderfoot mode in PEAK gives you a slower, safer climb with less pressure. It’s still survival, just without the constant panic.

Perfect if you're just starting or want to actually enjoy the view.
