Gravlite Panels are the core building material for gravships in RimWorld Odyssey. You need them for almost every ship part, from walls to substructure, and without a steady supply, your expansion hits a wall fast.
How to Get Gravlite Panels
At the start, your only way to get Gravlite Panels is by completing quests. Many early Odyssey quests reward you with panels or vacstone blocks. You can also salvage some from orbital stations or derelict ships during early game exploration.
Once you unlock Advanced Gravtech, you can craft Gravlite Panels at a Fabrication Bench. This requires:
1 Plasteel
5 Vacstone blocks
Crafting Skill 8
Fabrication Bench built and powered
Each panel takes about 30 seconds of work, which scales with the crafter's General Labor Speed.
Vacstone blocks can only be mined from orbital asteroids. These appear when you're exploring space or during specific Odyssey events. You’ll need a gravship to reach them.
What Gravlite Panels Are Used For
Gravlite Panels are required for almost every gravtech structure:
Gravship substructure tiles
Gravship walls, doors, and rooms
Gravship furniture and sealed systems
Every tile of substructure on your gravship costs at least one panel. So expanding your ship even a little requires dozens (sometimes hundreds) of them.
Panels are also needed for vacuum-sealed areas like space corridors or rooms that need oxygen control.

Rush Advanced Gravtech research to unlock crafting early
Target asteroid mining quests for vacstone
Use high-skill crafters to speed up production
Salvage derelict orbital bases for extra supplies
Store extras for when you're building new thrusters, anchors, or sealed rooms
You can’t automate panel crafting, so make sure your colony always has access to a powered Fabrication Bench and enough materials to keep production going.
