Tiny Bookshop: How to Restock Books

Tiny Bookshop: How to Restock Books

Keeping your shelves stocked in Tiny Bookshop is the key to steady sales. All restocking is done before you start your workday, so preparation is everything.

How to Buy Books

Open the Bookstonbury Review newspaper in the bottom left corner of the screen. This is where you purchase book collections in boxes.

Some boxes show exactly which genres they contain, while others are mystery boxes. The contents are revealed when you buy them. Prices change daily based on book counts and sales events, so check often.

When you purchase a box, it opens immediately and adds the books to your storage. You can see your storage on the right side of the screen.

Stocking Your Shelves

Once you have books in storage, choose your location for the day. This takes you to the stocking screen.

Select the books you want from the left side, then click on a shelf to place them. Click and drag to place multiple copies quickly. Right-click to remove books.

Keep at least one slot for each genre you want to sell. If you overload one genre and have no space for others, you might lose sales.

Genre and Sales Chance

The more books of a genre you display, the higher the sales chance for that genre. You can see this percentage by hovering over each genre color on the stock screen.

This mechanic rewards filling shelves with genres that match the location’s customer preferences.

Before You Start the Day

You cannot change stock after leaving for the day. Make sure your shelves are full before hitting the arrow button to start work.

Plan ahead by keeping extra books in storage and restocking in bulk when prices are low.

Final Blurb

Restocking in Tiny Bookshop is about balancing variety with volume. Buy books when prices are low, keep your storage well-stocked, and fill shelves based on location demand. Once the day begins, your stock is locked in, so smart prep makes all the difference.
