Wildgate characters, called Prospectors, each have fixed traits and abilities that define how they play. Picking the right Prospector sets your role for ship combat, boarding, defense, and support. Here is every character and what makes them unique.
Venture
Role: Explorer
Health: 100
Abilities: Does not require oxygen, heals faster outside ships, and uses a friendly camera that detects enemies behind him up to 18 meters.
Venture is best for scouting and staying alive outside ships longer than others.
Sammo
Role: Ship Defender
Health: 120
Abilities: Heals fully after defeating a Prospector on his own ship, sees enemies through walls at 20 meters inside his ship, and has 20% more health.
Sammo is built to defend your ship and punish boarding enemies.
Sal
Role: Engineer
Health: 120
Abilities: Repair multitool hits two targets at once, salvages unwanted items for random gear, and has no weak spots.
Sal keeps the ship functional and can recycle items into useful devices.
Ion
Role: Boarder
Health: 120
Abilities: Melee attacks damage ship parts, breaks doors and windows in three hits, one-hit melee defeats enemy Prospectors, and reloads stowed weapons in one second.
Ion is made for aggressive boarding and disabling enemy ships quickly.
Mophs
Role: Stealth Boarder
Health: 80
Abilities: Activates camouflage for 15 seconds, moves faster while camouflaged, and flies 30% faster.
Mophs is perfect for sneaky boarding or ambush plays but is fragile in fights.
Adrian
Role: Boarder
Health: 100
Abilities: Uses a jet pack instead of a Maghook for fast movement and also flies 30% faster.
Adrian specializes in mobility and quick insertions onto enemy ships.
Kae
Role: Boarder
Health: 100
Abilities: Interacts with objects up to 10 meters away and can teleport once up to 100 meters.
Kae is a flexible boarder who can reposition instantly for surprise plays.
