In ATLYSS your journey begins as a Novice, but at level 10, you can choose a permanent class: Fighter, Mystic, or Bandit. Each class has unique skills, playstyles, and gear. Here's an in-depth guide to help you understand each class and decide which one fits your playstyle:

Novice (The “Starting Class”)

  • Overview:
As a Novice you have basic skills and access to simple weapons and armor. You’ll use this time to level up and learn the game’s mechanics.

  • Skills:
Novices don’t have specialized abilities but can deal light melee damage and use basic spells.

  • Equipment:

    • Weapons: Basic swords and staves.

    • Armor: Light armor with minimal defensive stats.

  • Transition:
Once you reach level 10, you’ll meet class Guardians in the world who guide you in choosing your permanent class.

1. Fighter

  • Combat Style:
Fighters excel in close-range, physical combat. They have high durability and deal significant melee damage.

  • Playstyle:
Fighters are great for players who want to charge into battles and take hits while dealing heavy damage.

  • Skills:

    • Rage: Increases your damage output for a short time.

    • Blood Gush: Deals a powerful slash that hits multiple enemies.

    • Shield Bash: Temporarily stuns enemies and interrupts their attacks.

  • Weapons:

    • Swords, axes, and heavy two-handed weapons.

  • Armor:

    • Heavy armor like Knightguard Halo, which has strong defense.

  • Best For:
Players who enjoy tanking damage and leading the charge in fights.

2. Mystic

  • Combat Style:
Mystics are spellcasters who deal damage from a distance and support allies with magic.

  • Playstyle:
Perfect for players who enjoy strategy and using magic to control the battlefield. Mystics excel in dealing area-of-effect (AoE) damage.

  • Skills:

    • Cross: Fires a magical blast that pierces enemies in a straight line.

    • Fluxspear: Summons a spear of energy to attack enemies.

    • Healing Aura: Provides health regeneration to yourself and nearby allies.

  • Weapons:

    • Scepters, bells, and staves.

  • Armor:

    • Magic-focused gear like Jestercast Memory, boosting mana and spell power.

  • Best For:
Players who want to use magic and provide support to their team.

3. Bandit

  • Combat Style:
Bandits are agile fighters who rely on speed and precision. They can deal heavy damage quickly and avoid enemy attacks.

  • Playstyle:
Bandits are ideal for players who prefer fast-paced combat and sneaky tactics. They can strike hard and retreat before taking damage.

  • Skills:

    • Pay Day: Executes a series of quick strikes for massive damage.

    • Mist Veil: Creates a smokescreen that makes you harder to hit.

    • Poisoned Blades: Adds a damage-over-time effect to your attacks.

  • Weapons:

    • Katars, daggers, and ranged weapons like throwing stars.

  • Armor:

    • Light armor such as Glyphgrift Halo, emphasizing agility over defense.

  • Best For:
Players who like speed, stealth, and high damage bursts.

Choosing Your Class

  • Permanent Choice:
Once you pick a class you cannot change it. If you want to try a different class, you’ll need to create a new character.

  • Think About Your Playstyle:

    • Choose Fighter if you like being strong and durable in close combat.

    • Pick Mystic if you enjoy using magic to deal damage or heal.

    • Go with Bandit if you prefer fast, sneaky, and high-damage play.

  • Talk to Class Guardians:
At level 10 visit the Guardians:

    • Fighter: Talk to Enok.

    • Mystic: Speak with Angela.

    • Bandit: Meet Sally.
