Blue Prince: Light Puzzle Guide (Blue Flames)

The Grounds in Blue Prince are lovely—if your definition of “lovely” includes cryptic fire puzzles and valves hidden across half the manor. There are four blue braziers down the stairs behind the Fountain. Light all four, and boom: a permanent elevator to the Basement opens up.
Spoiler: you’ll be doing some hiking.
Where to Find the Braziers
From the Entrance Hall, head outside to the Grounds. Go left of the Fountain, then down the stairs. All four braziers are sitting in a little stone nook, completely unlit and silently judging you.
They stay lit forever once you solve them—no resets between runs.
How to Light the Braziers
Lighting them isn’t hard... finding the gasline valves that power them is. You’ll need to activate valves in four specific rooms:
The Orchard
Gemstone Cavern
The Hovel (Outer Room)
The Schoolhouse (Outer Room)
Turn a valve, and the connected brazier lights automatically. No fire spells required.
Orchard Brazier
Room: The Orchard
To unlock the Orchard gate, you’ll first need the code (1128), which comes from the Darkroom. Once inside the Orchard, the gasline valve is on your left, near the entry path. Easy peasy.
Gemstone Cavern Brazier
Room: Gemstone Cavern
Access this one by using the Breaker Box in the Utility Closet. After solving that, head into the Cavern and find the valve just to your right near the entrance. You’ll probably trip over it on your way in.
Hovel Brazier
Room: The Hovel (Outer Room)
This one’s outside—literally. You first need to:
Turn on power to the Garage via the Utility Closet
Open the West Gate using the Garage’s door switch
Then start drafting Outer Rooms at the door past the bridge
Only one Outer Room drafts per day, so it might take a few days to get lucky. Once you draft the Hovel, look right of the fireplace to find the valve.
Schoolhouse Brazier
Room: Schoolhouse (Outer Room)
Same deal as the Hovel—you can only build it outside, and it shares the Outer Room draft slot. Once drafted, find the valve on the back side of the heater in the center of the room.
What Happens When All Four Are Lit?
You’ll hear a little ding, and an elevator shows up where the braziers are. That elevator goes straight to the Basement, which is extremely mysterious and probably dangerous. You’ll need the Basement Key to actually use it.
But hey, congrats. You lit some fire bowls and opened a hidden elevator. Not bad for a game with no map.
Final Blurb
Lighting the blue braziers in Blue Prince feels like prepping a birthday cake for a ghost: lots of walking, mysterious valves, and only a vague idea of what's coming next. Still, the reward is real, and the elevator doesn’t reset. That’s about as generous as this game gets.
