Cash Cleaner Simulator Marked Bills Guide

Marked bills are one of the most annoying challenges in Cash Cleaner Simulator. You can’t wash them off, you can’t auto-sort them, and worse… Some quests require them. If you're stuck on the UV lamp missions or unsure what counts as a "marked bill," here’s how to deal with them the right way.

What Are Marked Bills?
Marked bills show up with red ink or symbols, like:
A thick red stripe
A red "X" from corner to corner
Important: Not all red marks are valid.
The big red “X” does not count as a marked bill for some quests, even though the game shows it as an example. Use bills with the half-bill red line instead.
How to Find Marked Bills
You’ll need a UV lamp to spot marks properly. Set it up in a dark area like:
Left of the furnace
Under the piggy bank overhang
Make sure all other lights are off. Then:
Hold a stack of bills
Press X to drop them one at a time
Look for red markings under the UV glow
Can You Auto-Sort Marked Bills?
No.
Even the upgraded Money Counter L only filters counterfeit bills, not marked ones.
You have to sort marked bills manually. This means stacking them yourself and keeping them separate until a contract asks for them.
Can You Clean Off Marked Bills?
Nope.
Even running them through hard wash and dry cycles will not remove the red ink. Marked bills are permanent.
But don't panic:
Most contracts don’t care
If a contract requires marked bills, use the ones with clear red stripes (not full Xs)
Best Method to Sort Marked Bills
Use a UV lamp in a dark corner
Hold a stack of up to 100
Press X to drop bills one at a time
Check each for red marks
Move valid ones to a “marked” pile or box
This is slow but it’s the only working method right now.
Final Blurb
Marked bills are a pain, and the devs might improve the system later. But for now, manual sorting with the UV lamp is your only option. Stick to bills with clear red lines, avoid the corner-to-corner X bills, and don't waste your time trying to wash the marks off.
