Augments are powerful buffs that shape your build during a run. Picking the right ones can turn a bad loadout into a winning strategy.
Note: this guide is a work in progress during Early Access.
How Augments Work
You gain Augments as rewards during missions.
Your build has 1 main perk, 3 medium perks, and 3 small perks.
Perks and Augments tend to follow themes — elemental, bots, melee, ranged, etc.
Some runs won’t let you fill every slot depending on what you choose or what drops.
Example Augments
Here are some key Augments you can find:
Damage and Crit
Adrenal Surge — Doubles ranged damage to nearby enemies when under 25% health.
Crit Augment — +25% crit chance, +50% crit damage. Kills drop more Tech and Scrap.
Long Range Augment — Massive damage boost to targets beyond 10 meters.
Elemental and Status Effects
Elemental — All elemental damage types boosted by 30%.
Blazing Eruption — +50% combustion damage.
Overcharge — Lightning Bolts have a 50% chance to deal double damage.
Cryo Shatter AoE — (Frozen enemies explode — not fully documented but very strong).
Weapon and Ammo
Ammo Augment — Chance to refund bullets and bonus damage at full mag.
Magazine Augment — +150% magazine size and faster reloads.
Hipfire — Reduced spread, double proc chance, and +50% damage when firing from the hip.
Melee and Mobility
Melee Augment — +125% melee damage and stealth on melee kills.
Reflex Shot — After dashing, your next shot deals +35% damage.
Agility Augment — +50% movement speed and +25% damage while moving.
Grenades and Explosives
Rapid Cooldown — Grenade cooldown reduced per enemy hit.
Spreading Ignition — Grenade kills fully recharge your shield.
The More The Merrier — Grenade damage increases for each enemy caught.
Utility and Defense
Resilient — Reduces incoming damage based on nearby enemies.
Reactive Loader — (Details not fully confirmed but improves reload mechanics).
Spreading Ignition — Shields fully recharge when you kill with a grenade.
Tips for Choosing Augments
Stick to a theme. Mixing too many types weakens your build.
Elemental builds are strong for AoE clears.
Crit and Weakpoint builds dominate single-target fights.
Melee builds need mobility Augments to stay alive.
Grenade builds can carry you in Expert and Nightmare runs.
Final Blurb
Augments are where your real power comes from. Don’t just pick whatever drops — pick what fits your build and keeps you alive. And if you can grab Crit Augment early? You’re already halfway to a good run.
