Story Mode, also known as "Easy Mode," is where Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 politely lets you enjoy the game without getting smacked every five seconds.
What Does Easy Mode (AKA Story Mode) Do?
Enemies hit like they're using pool noodles.
Dodging and parrying? Way more forgiving.
Focus on the story, the art, and wondering why everyone else is complaining about difficulty.
If you're here for the world, characters, and don’t feel like mastering frame-perfect parries, Story Mode is your best friend. It’s also perfect for learning the basics without getting punished for every mistake.
You can also still earn all achievements on easy mode. Difficulty does not matter.
Can You Change Difficulty Later?
Yes, you can switch anytime outside of battle. So if you wake up one day feeling brave, crank it up. If not, stay comfy.
Final Blurb
Whether you're a JRPG veteran on a coffee break or just someone who wants to see the credits roll without breaking a sweat, Story Mode makes sure you actually enjoy your expedition — instead of rage-quitting halfway through.
