Grounded 2 All Buggies & Mounts
Buggies and mounts let you move faster, carry more, and add unique abilities to travel and combat. There are currently two available, with more planned for future updates.
Red Soldier Ant Buggy
The Red Soldier Ant Buggy is unlocked after completing the Egg Hunt story quest. It requires one Red Soldier Ant Egg, two Grub Hides, three Sprigs, and one Acorn Shell to craft its saddle.
This buggy moves quickly, jumps higher than normal, and can carry additional items in its storage. It is the first mount most players will unlock and is ideal for fast resource runs and early mobility.
Orb Weaver Buggy
The Orb Weaver Buggy is unlocked by completing the Networking story quest. It requires one Orb Weaver Egg, three Blueberry Leather, four Red Ant Mandibles, and three Acorn Shells for the saddle.
It functions like the Red Soldier Ant Buggy but adds offensive abilities. It can charge enemies, shoot webs, intimidate smaller bugs, and even cross web bridges safely without getting stuck.
How to Hatch Buggies
All buggies require a Hatchery to hatch their eggs. Build one with Weed Stems, Acorn Tops, Acorn Shells, and Mite Fuzz, then place the egg and wait; 12 in-game hours for the Red Soldier Ant Buggy and 24 for the Orb Weaver Buggy.
Can Buggies Die?
Buggies can be downed when they take too much damage. Revive them within 90 seconds or they will despawn, but they automatically return after four real-life minutes if lost.
Future Mounts and Features
A Ladybug Buggy and watery mounts are planned for future updates, along with customization, buggy mutations, and quality-of-life features like hotpouch support and scanner upgrades.
Final Blurb
Buggies add speed, storage, and special abilities to your adventures in Grounded 2. Unlock the Red Soldier Ant Buggy first for basic travel, then work toward the Orb Weaver Buggy for combat and web-crossing power.
