Grounded 2 Omni-Tool Guide | All Upgrades and Tiers
The Omni-Tool is your most important item in Grounded 2. It handles chopping, digging, smashing, and repairing.
Each function unlocks separately and can be upgraded with better materials and Science Points, making it more powerful and unlocking tougher resources.
How to Get the Omni-Tool
You can pick up the Omni-Tool early on at the first Ranger Outpost called Snackbar. It is marked by a main quest objective near the tutorial area.
Inside the outpost, look for the rack of Omni-Tools on the wall and interact with it to equip one.
How to Upgrade the Omni-Tool
Upgrades are done at the Ranger Station. To access it, go through the side cave entrance near the outpost. The cave is dark and has mites, so bring a torch and a weapon.
At the end, you will find a locked door leading into the station. Talk to Sloane using the communication screen, then unlock the door from the inside.
The Ranger Station lets you spend Raw Science on upgrades and unlock recipes. Raw Science comes from scanning new resources at analyzers and collecting pink floating orbs found around the park.
