How to Beat the Ice King | Split Fiction Guide

The Ice King is one of Split Fiction’s most hyped-up villains. For hours, you hear about this terrifying force spreading ice across the land. But when you finally meet him, he’s… a cat. A fluffy, adorable white cat with big orange eyes. Then, right as you let your guard down, he transforms into a massive, horned nightmare.

Here’s how to take him down.

Phase One: Ice Pillars and Grappling

  • Survive the Ice King’s Platform Attack

    • The fight starts with the Ice King knocking Zoe and Mio onto a mirror platform.

    • He shatters pieces of it, forcing you to move to safe spots. Follow the paw-print markers and dodge carefully.

    • After enough dodging, a cutscene triggers, and Mio shifts into her Monkey form while Zoe becomes a Tree.

  • Dodging and Counterattacks

    • The Ice King throws massive ice pillars across the arena—dash between them to avoid getting hit.

    • He follows up with a shockwave of ice that spreads across the floor. Jump over it to stay safe.

  • Expose His Weak Spot

    • Eventually, the Ice King stands on his hind legs, revealing a crest on his chest.

    • Zoe (Tree Form) must grapple the crest and pull him down.

    • Once he’s on the ground, Mio (Monkey Form) can punch him repeatedly.

  • More Ice Attacks

    • After taking some damage, he unleashes:

      • Molten ice spikes covering most of the arena.

      • A charging attack through the middle of the battlefield—dash to avoid it.

      • Returning ice pillars, this time with falling icicles.

  • Rinse and Repeat

    • Survive his next attack cycle and wait for him to stand up again.

    • Zoe grapples him one more time, and Mio lands another round of attacks.

  • The Ice Slide Escape

    • A cutscene plays, and the arena collapses.

    • Zoe and Mio slide down an icy tunnel dodging obstacles.

    • At the bottom, they land in a new arena for Phase Two.

Phase Two: Ice Tornadoes and Underwater Combat

  • Dodge the Tornadoes

    • The Ice King creates an ice tornado in the center of the screen.

    • Smaller tornadoes spin around it, making it harder to move.

    • Avoid them until they disappear.

  • Activate the Flower

    • After the tornadoes clear, a glowing red flower appears underwater.

    • Mio (Otter Form) must swim down and activate the flower.

    • Once activated, throw it to the surface for Zoe to grab.

  • Attack the Ice King

    • Zoe grapples the flower and hurls it at the Ice King’s face.

    • Mio follows up with punches while he’s stunned.

  • Break the Ice

    • The Ice King freezes the water, forcing you to break through it.

    • He also throws explosive ice balls—make sure they hit the ice to crack it.

    • Another tornado appears, so keep dodging until it vanishes.

  • Final Blow

    • Once the ice is broken, repeat the flower attack one last time.

    • Mio punches the Ice King one final time.

Congratulations! You’ve defeated the Ice King and saved the kingdom.
