How to Drop Items in Schedule 1

Note: This guide covers content from Schedule 1, a satirical video game set in a fictional world. All items, recipes, and references are entirely made up and exist only in the game. Please don’t try any of this in real life.

In Schedule 1, your backpack fills up fast. Broken skateboards, half-used pipes, extra bats, mystery socks—you get the idea. Unfortunately, there's no basic “drop item on the floor” button. But there are a few solid ways to get rid of junk. Here's how to clean house.

Discarding Items (AKA: Yeeting Them Into the Void)

  • Press Tab to open your phone and inventory screen

  • In the bottom right corner, you’ll see a little box labeled “Discard”

  • Drag items into that box to throw them away permanently

  • You’ve got a short timer to cancel if you regret it—but after that, it’s gone for good

Important: You can’t recover discarded items. Double-check what you’re tossing. Maybe don't chuck your only bat.

Throwing Items in the Trash

Some items can’t be discarded but can be trashed.

  • Look for trash bins in your hideouts, apartments, or around the map

  • Grab your item, walk to the bin, and toss it in

  • This works best for boxes, packaging, and other junk from your business

If you’ve got multiple pieces of trash, use a Black Rubbish Bag to bundle them up and carry them all at once.

Use a Litter Picker (Seriously)

You can buy the Litter Picker from Dan’s Hardware Store for $50. It lets you:

  • Pick up multiple trash items fast

  • Transfer them to a bin or bag all at once

  • Feel vaguely like a productive adult

It’s cheap, and honestly one of the best early tools you can get.

Turning Trash Into Cash (Kind Of)

Out in the world, you’ll spot trash compactors—big machines that love garbage.

  • Dump your trash in

  • Get a few bucks back

  • Celebrate with a soda or something

Not every item works, but if it looks like trash, it's probably worth a try.

Final Blurb

You can’t drop stuff on the ground in Schedule 1, but you can toss it in a bin, vaporize it in your phone, or even make a little cash from it. Clean up your stash, make space, and maybe—just maybe—don’t carry seven broken chairs around.
