If you’re trying to jump into FragPunk but keep getting the dreaded “Network error. Unable to connect to server” message, don’t panic. You’re not the only one dealing with this. Luckily, there are a few quick fixes to get you back in the game.

  • Check If FragPunk’s Servers Are Down
Sometimes, the issue isn’t on your end. Before troubleshooting, check:

    • FragPunk’s official Twitter/X account for server status updates.

    • The game’s website or Discord for any maintenance announcements.

    • Downdetector to see if other players are reporting server problems.
If the servers are down, you’ll have to wait it out.

  • Restart Your Internet & Device
This might sound too simple, but it fixes a lot of connection issues:

    • Turn off your router for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

    • Restart your PC or console to refresh your network connection.

  • Disable VPNs & Proxies
FragPunk’s servers might block VPN or proxy connections. If you’re using one, disable it and try reconnecting.

  • Fix Eero Router Connection Issues
If you’re using an Eero router, try this:

    • Open the EERO app.

    • Tap Security and Privacy.

    • Go to Network Controls.

    • Disable Adblocking & Advanced Security.
Now, relaunch the game and see if the issue is fixed.

  • Allow FragPunk Through Firewalls & Antivirus
Your firewall or antivirus could be blocking FragPunk’s connection. To fix this:

    • Windows Firewall: Search for "Windows Defender Firewall," then allow FragPunk through both public and private networks.

    • Antivirus Software: Add FragPunk as an exception in your antivirus settings.

  • Flush Your DNS (PC Only)
Resetting your network settings can help fix connectivity issues. Do this:

    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.

    • Type these commands one by one, hitting Enter after each:
      ipconfig /flushdns
      ipconfig /release
      ipconfig /renew

    • Restart your PC and try connecting again.

  • Verify Game Files (Steam Users)
If you’re on Steam, missing or corrupted files could be causing connection issues:

    • Open Steam and go to your Library.

    • Right-click FragPunk and select Properties.

    • Click Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

    • Wait for the process to complete and try launching the game again.

  • Update Network & Graphics Drivers (PC Only)

    • Network Drivers: Open Device Manager, go to Network Adapters, right-click your network device, and select Update Driver.

    • Graphics Drivers: Download the latest drivers from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel (whichever you use).

  • Close Background Apps & Lower In-Game Settings
If your system is struggling, try:

    • Closing unnecessary apps (like browsers or Discord).

    • Lowering FragPunk’s graphics settings to reduce network strain.

Final Blurb

That’s everything you need to fix FragPunk’s network error and get back into the action. If the issue still isn’t resolved, it might be a server-side problem—so keep an eye on official updates.
