This weird little mushroom thing is the first alien you'll run into in Revenge of the Savage Planet. It’s cute and it’s calm... and it somehow manages to hide better than some of the aggressive ones.
Here’s where to find it and how to grab it.
Where to Find the Brainard
The Brainard is only found in a few spots on Stellaris Prime, so if you miss it early, you might not even realize it was a unique creature. Check near the very first open area after the tutorial, especially near the big mushrooms and along cliff edges. If you’ve moved on too far, loop back and sweep the area again slowly. They blend in, and they don’t move much.
How to Catch It
It’s not hostile, so no need to scan for a weak spot or dodge any attacks.
Just walk up close and lasso it using your Proton Whip.
Pull it in and you’re done.
The Brainard doesn’t fight back, it doesn’t explode, and it won’t call friends for help. It just sort of accepts its fate... which is probably why people miss it.
