If you want to fast travel, identify gear, or unlock features at bonfires, you're going to need Ethereal Cobwebs. They’re not exactly rare, but getting them takes a bit of planning.

Here’s how to consistently stock up on them in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.

Where to Find Ethereal Cobwebs

There are a few ways to grab these cobwebs, but not all of them are worth your time.

Wyrd-infected enemies are one source. You’ll start seeing these creepy, zombie-looking variants once you hit the second region.

Their names usually give it away... things like "Wyrd Bandit" or "Wyrd Soldier." They’re slightly off, both in how they move and how they look.

You’ll also sometimes run into glowing blue Ethereal Deposits in the wild. These are rare, but if you find one, you’ll get ten cobwebs in one go.

Always grab these when you can.

Last, the Wyrdness itself helps. When night hits and the world gets extra weird, many enemies and animals will drop cobwebs when killed.

This method can be pretty big.

How to Farm Ethereal Cobwebs Efficiently

To get a lot of cobwebs fast, rest at a bonfire and push the clock forward until it turns yellow.

That yellow glow means the Wyrdness has taken over. You’ll get a message warning you that things are getting strange... which is your cue to get out there and start killing stuff.

Animals, monsters, and even random NPCs during this time will drop Ethereal Cobwebs.

Clear out as many enemies as you can, collect all the cobwebs, and repeat the cycle by resting again.

What Ethereal Cobwebs Are Used For

Once you have them, cobwebs let you fuel bonfires. This unlocks some very useful features.

You’ll need cobwebs to:

  • Unlock fast travel between major bonfires

  • Identify gear with a question mark (like relics or enchanted gear)

  • Use basic alchemy from the bonfire (though alchemy tables also work)

Note that fast travel between beacon checkpoints doesn’t use cobwebs... just the full-on bonfire system does.

Ethereal cobwebs also pop up as quest items sometimes, so don’t use your last ten right before heading into a story mission.

Gear that needs identifying won’t show up much until region two and beyond, so early game players don’t need to hoard cobwebs too hard. But once they start dropping, you’ll want a stash.

Final Blurb & FAQ

Whether you’re trying to teleport around or find out if that weird sword is actually worth using, Ethereal Cobwebs make it happen. Plan your farming around the Wyrdness, and you’ll never run out when you need them most.
