How to Get Knowledge Points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Knowledge Points = Skill Tree Progress
You need Knowledge Points to unlock higher tiers in your mastery skill trees for both Naoe and Yasuke. The more Knowledge Points you earn, the higher your Knowledge Rank, which then unlocks more skills you can spend Mastery Points on.
In short: No Knowledge Points = No new cool abilities. So let’s fix that.
Ways to Get Knowledge Points
Look for red-orange icons on the map. These are optional activities that give you Knowledge Points when completed. Some question marks (?) on the map lead to them—but not all, so explore a bit.
Here’s what gives you Knowledge Points:
Kuji-kiri (Naoe only)
Quick-time events with hand signs.
First four unlock parts of her backstory.
Found in hidden areas—check forests and shrines.
Shrines
Pray at three spots in an area.
Easy points—no combat, just exploration.
Temples
Find three Lost Pages scattered nearby.
Pages can be on rooftops, in trees, ponds, or anywhere sneaky.
Kofun
Ancient tombs. Crawl through dark, maze-like areas to find a chest.
Some are Naoe- or Yasuke-only based on the path.
Hidden Trails (Naoe only)
Parkour challenges. Use her grappling hook to get to a treasure chest.
Often holds rare armor, so double bonus here.
Kata (Yasuke only)
Button-press events where Yasuke shows off his martial arts moves.
Hit the prompts correctly to earn Knowledge Points.
Horse Archery (Yasuke only)
Ride a horse and shoot targets with a bow.
It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like—and fun.
