How to Get the Car in Helldivers 2: The FRV Stratagem Guide

The Fast Recon Vehicle (FRV), or the car, is a handy tool in Helldivers 2. It helps you move fast and fight better. Here’s how to unlock the car it and use it in missions.

How to Unlock the FRV Stratagem

1. Buy the Stratagem

   • Go to the Hangar and buy the M-102 Fast Recon Vehicle Stratagem.

   • It costs 25,000 Requisition Slips.

2. Equip the Stratagem

   • Add the FRV Stratagem to your loadout before starting a mission.

   • You can carry up to four Stratagems at a time, so choose carefully.

How to Use the FRV

1. Call in the FRV

   • Open your Stratagem menu during a mission.

   • Select the FRV and mark where you want it to drop.

   • Wait about 8 seconds for it to arrive.

2. Drive the FRV

   • PC Controls:

     • Move forward: Press W

     • Reverse: Press S

     • Steer: Use A and D

   • Console Controls:

     • Move forward: Press RT

     • Reverse: Press LT

     • Steer: Use the left stick

3. Use the Turret

   • The FRV has a machine gun turret on the back. A teammate can use it to shoot enemies.

   • The turret can turn in all directions to defend the team.

4. Carry Passengers

   • The FRV fits up to four players: a driver, a gunner, and two passengers. Passengers can shoot from the sides.

Tips for Using the FRV

• Watch for Damage

  • The FRV has fuel, but it’s more likely to get destroyed by enemies before running out.

  • Protect the tires, as damage makes it harder to drive.

• Best Missions for the FRV

  • The FRV is best for missions in cities or areas with roads.

  • Choose safe spots to call in the FRV, away from heavy enemy fire.
