The Map of the Zhelejov Marshes is a treasure map that leads to free Groschen and a longsword early in the game. Here’s how to find it and claim the reward in KCD2.
Step 1: Find the Map
Travel to the Zhelejov Marshes, located west of Wagoner’s Inn near Troskowitz.
Look for a skeleton lying in the swamp.
The map is just above the skeleton’s skull—loot it to add it to your inventory.
Step 2: Read the Map (Optional)
Open your inventory and examine the Map of the Zhelejov Marshes.
The map shows six islands in the marsh.
The first two islands were searched by the dead explorer, meaning the treasure is on one of the remaining four.
Step 3: Find the Treasure
Exit the swamp and turn left.
Crouch to make spotting items easier.
Walk forward until you see random items in front of a tree.
Loot the ground to claim the treasure.
Treasure Rewards
84 Groschen (free money).
Longsword (can be used or sold for extra Groschen).
Final Notes
No lockpicking or combat is required—this is an easy way to get cash and a weapon early on.
The treasure is not buried, just lying in plain sight.
If you don’t need the sword, sell it for quick Groschen.
