Where to Find the Mages Guild
Every major city in Cyrodiil (except the Imperial City, because apparently, they’re too cool for local branches) has a Mages Guild Hall. You can walk into any of these to start the process:
Anvil
Bravil
Bruma
Cheydinhal
Chorrol
Leyawiin
Skingrad
Pick whichever city is closest—or whichever has the nicest weather.
How to Join the Mages Guild
Enter any Mages Guild Hall in one of the cities listed above.
Find the Guild Hall Leader (they’re usually the person looking the most important).
Talk to them and ask to join.
Congratulations, you're in. No entrance exam, no magic show required.
That’s it. No fuss, no proving you actually know how to use a spell.
What Happens After You Join
Once you're a member, you’ll get:
Free bed in every Mages Guild hall.
Access to alchemy equipment and ingredients.
A nice collection of books, scrolls, and other magical goodies.
But if you want to unlock the real perks—like entry to the Arcane University—you’ll need to complete Recommendation Quests. Each guild hall leader will give you one. Collect all seven, and you’ll earn your ticket to the big leagues in the Imperial City.
