Fighting in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be brutal. Enemies don’t wait for you to get ready, and a couple of bad swings can send Henry straight to the afterlife. That’s why Master Strikes are so important. They let you counter an enemy’s attack and strike back instantly, making combat much easier.

How to Unlock Master Strike
You can learn Master Strike early in the game, but it won’t come easy.
Finish the Laboratores quest – This starts when you reach Troskowitz. After a messy situation with some guards and tavern folk, look for Bara near the guardhouse entrance.
Find Tomcat – Bara will tell you about a sword master named Tomcat. He’s camped with a group of Romani nomads west of Troskowitz, just past Bozhena’s hut.
Beat Tomcat in a duel – Tomcat won’t teach you Master Strike for free. You have to defeat him first.
Tips for Fighting Tomcat
He hits hard and fast, so don’t expect an easy win.
If you're struggling, focus on Perfect Blocks to drain his stamina instead of attacking wildly.
Use sword combos he teaches you before the duel.
If you lose, you’ll be left with low health. Either keep trying or come back later when you're stronger.
How to Use Master Strikes
A Master Strike is an advanced counter that completely negates an enemy’s attack and hits them back immediately.
Steps to Perform a Master Strike
Watch your opponent’s weapon.
Hold your guard in the opposite direction of their incoming attack.
The moment the green shield icon appears, attack!
Henry will parry and strike back automatically.
Extra Tips
Master Strikes only work with swords (both long and short).
You can also trigger a Master Strike right after a Perfect Block if your sword is positioned correctly.
Timing is everything. If you miss the moment, you’ll just take a hit instead.
