If your current build feels like a mistake, don’t panic... you can respec in Tainted Grail using something called Origin Potions. These potions reset every attribute and skill point you’ve spent, letting you start fresh.

Here’s where to find them and how they work.

What Origin Potions Actually Do

When used, an Origin Potion will completely reset your character.

All your stat points, skill nodes, and perks are refunded. You can rebuild everything however you want... no penalty or strings attached.

Where to Find Origin Potions

You’ll get a few of these just by exploring the world and doing quests. Here are the confirmed locations as well:

Island Asylum (Prison Start)

There’s one Origin Potion in a locked prison cell right at the start of the game.

As you make your way through the big room early on, look for a cell with a body inside. Unlock the door to loot the potion.

Sunken Village

Later in the game, head to the Sunken Village and find a Fallen Keeper’s corpse.

Search it to get another Origin Potion.

Fort Doctor (Vendor)

A doctor in the main Fort will eventually sell you an Origin Potion.

Check back often as vendor stocks rotate, especially after progressing the main quest.

How to Use Origin Potions

Using it is simple. Open your inventory, find the potion, and click to use it.

Your character will instantly reset all stats and skills... no warning box, so don’t click it unless you’re ready to commit.

Pro Tip for Respeccing

Don’t hoard them forever.

You’ll find more than one across the game, and Tainted Grail is built to reward experimentation. Try different weapon types, spell builds, or even switch from brawler to mage halfway through.

There’s no punishment for trying something new... as long as you have a potion in your back pocket.

Final Blurb & FAQ

Resetting your build in Tainted Grail is easy, flexible, and available pretty early. Grab every Origin Potion you find, and don’t be afraid to switch things up if your current path isn’t working.

Just make sure you’re not mid-boss fight when you use one.

FAQ

Q: Can I reset only skills or only attributes?

No, using a Origin Potion resets everything at once.

Q: How many Origin Potions are in the game?

There are at least 5+ confirmed so far, but more may be available from vendors or side quests.

Q: Do Origin Potions cost gold to use?

No, once you have one in your inventory, it’s free to activate.

Q: Can I use one mid-combat?

No, you’ll need to be in a safe spot. Best to do it from your inventory while not in danger.

Q: What happens to items I’m wearing when I respec?

Nothing breaks, but you may not meet the requirements to use gear until you reassign points.
