You’re fully geared up, looking like a proper lord, and you’ve got the lifesaving potion ready to go. But there’s one small problem—you can’t reach Thomas before the clock runs out, and now you’re stuck in a weird limbo, watching the game mock your slow pace.
Don’t worry. You don’t have to restart everything from scratch. Here’s a step-by-step guide to pulling off this rescue mission and saving Hans.
Step 1: Accept That You're Probably Going to Have to Reload
If your last save was an hour ago, take a deep breath. This game loves to punish slow reactions and poor planning. But if you have a save from the horseshoe quest or earlier, you’re in luck—that’s the best place to restart from.
Step 2: Get the Hooks
Steal the Priest’s Rosary – Sneak up on him and pickpocket it. Don’t worry, he won’t smite you.
Trade the Rosary for Hooks – Take it to the stable and exchange it.
If you already did this, great! If not, go back and do it.
Step 3: Break Into the Kitchen
Enter the castle and turn right – This will take you to the kitchen.
Talk to the person in the kitchen – Be polite. No need to be a medieval jerk.

Give the Lamb to the Kitchen NPC – This bribe will get you access upstairs.

Search his body for the keys – No keys, no cure.
Open the Safe to the Left of Him – This is where the fever tonic is hiding.

Step 6: The Sprint to Thomas (No Time for Chivalry!)
Run down into the courtyard – Move fast and don’t bump into anyone.
Exit the game to trigger a save – If you’re paranoid about losing progress, this is a neat trick.
Sprint to Thomas – Guards will chase you, but ignore them. You’ve got a noble to save.
Talk to the Woman Next to Thomas and Hand Over the Potion – If you did everything right, congrats! You just prevented a tragic medieval death.
