inZOI Guide: How to Have a Baby and Become Parents

Thinking about starting a little Zoi family? Great idea—but don’t expect it to happen by accident. inZOI makes baby-making a multi-step process that requires commitment, timing, and a little patience. Here’s how to have a baby in the game.

Step 1: Get Married First
Your Zois need to be married and living together before the baby option even shows up. Flirting and dating won’t cut it. If you need help with that part, check out the romance system first—because unless you put a ring on it, there’s no baby talk.
Step 2: Suggest Having a Baby
Once your Zois are married, a new option will appear in the Romance section:
“Suggest Having a Baby.”
It’ll show up just above the “Let’s go to bed” line. If the other Zoi agrees, a quick event will trigger. This is the only way to try for a baby.
Step 3: Take a Test
After the event, you can give your Zoi a pregnancy test. There’s no guarantee it’ll work on the first try, so if it’s negative, just give it another shot later. When it is successful, your Zoi will officially have a pregnant status in hte game.
Step 4: Wait It Out
Pregnancy lasts three in-game days. During that time, your Zoi might get random mood swings or feel nauseous, but they can still go about their usual business. You can even send them to vomit in the toilet if you’re going for realism.
Step 5: Give Birth
When it’s go time, a small exclamation mark will appear next to your pregnant Zoi’s portrait. Click it to trigger the birth. There’s a short cutscene in a hospital bed, and then boom—baby in a crib, right next to your Zoi.
You’ll be prompted to name the baby, and just like that, you’ve entered the world of Zoi parenting.
