MegaBonk Shrines Guide | All Shrine Effects Explained
Shrines in MegaBonk are more than decorations. Each one adds risk, reward, or progression depending on how you use it. Knowing which shrines to activate can make or break a run, especially in higher tiers where every choice stacks.
All Shrines and Statues
Challenge Shrine
Spawns strong enemies. Clear them out for loot.
Shrine of Succ
Pulls in all XP left on the ground at the time of activation.
Boss Curse (Bloody Shrine)
Adds one more copy of each boss to your fight. Boss HP also scales slightly, but you gain an extra chest if you win.
Charge Shrine
When fully charged, lets you pick one of three random stat boosts.
Golden Charge Shrine
A rare shrine that offers three Legendary stat upgrades when charged.
Greed Shrine
Exchanges a difficulty increase for money. Each activation adds 5% difficulty.
Moai Shrine
Presents you with two or three items to choose from.
Bandit Statue
Spawns the Bandit boss. If you beat them while carrying their weapon (Dexecutioner), you unlock Bandit as a buyable character.
Tips for Using Shrines
Shrines always come with opportunity cost. Greed Shrines can stack difficulty too fast if you chase silver early, so weigh short-term gains against survival. Boss Curse shrines are best used when you’re already strong or hunting challenge completions. Golden Charge Shrines are rare but can completely shift your build, so prioritize them when they appear.
Final Blurb
Shrines and statues are at the heart of MegaBonk’s risk-reward design. Whether you’re pulling in missed XP or daring to double your boss fights, these interactables shape every run. Mastering when to engage with them is key to turning good runs into great ones.
