Money Glitch Guide in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

There’s a working early-game money “glitch” or “exploit”, if you want to call it that (perhaps it was left in there intentionally?), in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon that lets you rack up gold with very little effort.
All it takes is a few attribute points, one merchant, and the world’s most generous cooking pot.
Here’s exactly how to set it up and repeat it for unlimited cash.
Step 1: Invest in Practicality
Put as many points into Practicality as you can. That’s the core requirement, and we’d recommend at least 8+ for this to work well.
You’ll need the following passives from the Practicality skill tree:
+50% Selling Price
Reusable Resources (yes, it works on food)
Chance to Create an Extra Item
You don’t need anything else from the tree. These three bonuses are what let the entire glitch work.
The more Practicality you have, the higher your profits. If you’ve got Origin Potions, this is a good place to use them to pump your stats early.
Step 2: Go to Ruairc (Merchant)
Head to the Horns of the South and find the Ruairc. He’s located near your stash area and cooking pot in the kitchen.
This specific shop is perfect because:
He sells ingredients in bulk
You can sell cooked items right back to him
His inventory resets daily
Buy out all his cooking items, ignoring anything that says “Beggar’s Fair” (he won’t buy it back). Don’t worry about cost; this is an investment.
Step 3: Cook and Sell for Profit
Now go to the cooking pot right next to the Ruairc. Cook any meal that uses the ingredients you just bought. Thanks to your Practicality perks:
You’ll often reuse ingredients
You’ll create extra food
You’ll sell everything back for 50% more than normal
You don’t even need good recipes. Just cook in bulk, then go back to the shop and sell everything back. Watch your money climb.
Even with bad recipes, you can easily double or triple your gold every cycle.
Step 4: Refresh the Shop Stock
Once you’ve sold everything, rest to reset the merchant’s stock.
There are a few ways to do this:
Use a nearby bonfire to rest until morning
Sleep in a bed
Exit to the main menu and reload your save (fastest method)
After a full day passes, walk back in and the kitchen will be restocked. Repeat the process: buy everything, cook, sell, profit.
Step 5: Repeat and Stack Profit
Do this a few times and you’ll hit 10,000+ gold before you even leave the starting areas. There’s even an achievement for that.
Later, you can boost your profits even more by adding extra % sell bonuses through level-ups.
This method may get outclassed later in the game, but for early and mid-game gold farming, it’s borderline broken.
Final Blurb & FAQ
This isn’t technically a glitch we guess, but rather a gold printing machine hiding in plain sight. With just 8 Practicality and a few minutes of clicking, you’ll have more money than you can spend.
As to whether the devs patch this or not... well, maybe don’t tell Morgen.
