New WoW Content Has Been Disabled

UPDATE: This issue has been resolved.

Per a forum post by a Blizzard Community Manager, new content that was supposed to be released today has been temporarily disabled. This includes the anticipated release of the new playable race, the Earthen, which cannot be unlocked as of now. With that said, a few fortunate players have been able to unlock the race prior to this content hold, which lasted for about an hour prior to the pause.

As of now, there has been no given timeline in regard to when new content will be released, leaving plenty of players frustrated given that much of the expansion is already timegated.

It looks like, for the time being, players will have to continue grinding alts while they wait for however long this may take.
