Oblivion Remastered: How to Clear Your Bounty

Running from guards every time you enter a city gets old fast. In Oblivion Remastered, crimes like theft, assault, or murder will slap you with a bounty—and if it gets too high, guards won’t just ask for pocket change. They'll haul you off to jail and strip your stolen gear.
Here’s how to clear your bounty in Oblivion Remastered.
Join the Thieves Guild
The easiest way to handle bounties is by joining the Thieves Guild. Once you're in, you’ll gain access to special contacts who can clear your bounty—no jail time, no questions asked.
If you haven’t joined yet, keep an ear out in the Imperial City for rumors about the guild, or commit a few crimes and wait for someone to approach you.
Find Armand Christophe
Once you're a member, head to Armand Christophe to wipe your bounty clean. Here’s how:
Go to the Waterfront District in the Imperial City.
Look for Armand near the garden area by the docks—he usually appears at night.
Speak to him and select "Pay off my fines and bounty."
Just like that, your bounty is gone, and your stolen items stay safely in your inventory.
Quick Tips
Always carry extra gold if you're living the criminal life.
Visit Armand before your bounty gets too out of hand.
If Armand isn’t around, other Thieves Guild Doyens can also clear your bounty once you progress further.
Final Blurb
Paying guards to clear your bounty is for amateurs. If you're serious about a life of crime in Oblivion Remastered, let the Thieves Guild handle your problems. Clear your bounty, keep your loot, and get back to doing what you do best—causing trouble without consequences.
